Approval Process & FAQ

Seller underwriting process

Step 1: Submit the Business Application

  • A/R aging determines credit line needs
    • Only list those you intend to extend trade credit to in the future
  • Customer list indicates buyer approval rate
    • Only list those you intend to extend trade credit to in the future
  • No adverse effect for applying for TCE, no reporting, only inquiry
  • D&B and blended Equifax personal/business credit reports are pulled

Step 2: Establish initial line of credit need

For New Businesses

  • Opening, or initial accounting information
  • Personal financial statement/tax returns. 
  • Background information on the principal.   A personal conversation to learn more about the business owners experience in their industry.

For existing business the following information may be requested

  • Year end company financial statements (2 previous years)
  • Interim year to date financial statements
  • Company tax returns (2 previous years)
  • Principal(s) personal tax returns (2 previous years)
  • Current personal financial statement of Principal(s)

Seller disqualifiers

  • Progress billing (example: 20% due when complete, 50% due when complete, etc.) because hard to quantify and easily disputed ? would request change to units completed instead
  • Prescreen determines seller's customer list has very low approval rates
  • Personal credit issues (bankruptcy, liens, lawsuits, judgments)
  • Other first position financing that couldn't be untangled

Seller set up process (typically less than 30 days)

  • Intake (underwriting)
  • Contract proposal
  • Implementation / training
