The Vx670 wireless unit delivers ON THE SPOT payment where your customers want it.
The unique thing about this terminal is the consumer facing application (start the sale and then hand the unit over to the customer to complete the transaction).
Two main applications are GPRS wireless for golf course beverage carts and WiFi for Pay at the Table inside restaurants. Vantage has successfully deployed this solution in both environments.
Pay at the Table – The payment solution comes to the customer at every table throughout the restaurant (inside and outside) to deliver
speed of service, security, convenience and cost savings.
CurbsidePay–Speed pickup service by bringing payment to the car with the food.
DeliveryPay–Same great features and functions in the restaurant are available now at the customers door for payment at the point of service delivery.
On the Golf Course- Accepting credit cards at the beverage cart has proven to increase sales, with lower processing costs, reduced liability and improved efficiency.
Consumer response to the ON THE SPOT service has been tremendously positive according to a consumer survey of restaurant patrons who experienced the ON THE SPOT solution.
More Table Turns
Pay at the table means less trips to the POS, which equals more table turns and an improved customer experience. Utilizing WiFi or GPRS communications with the Verifone Vx670 (shown right), restaurant operators large and small can increase efficiency so customers no longer have to wait to complete payment.
85% of respondents said the system was faster than conventional payment methods at restaurants
Provide Peace of Mind
With the recent national publicity regarding identity theft and card skimming, consumers are keenly aware of the growing risks associated with using their cards in environments where they must hand over possession of their card. With ON THE SPOT, the card never has to leave the consumer's hand. Consumer advocate Clark Howard featured ON THE SPOT in his prime time special which showcased the TablePay solution. View the TV promo and 3 minute segment.
87% of respondents said they had a “high” sense of security using the system.
PIN Debit Savings
Restaurant operators can take advantage of the increasing use of debit cards by utilizing PIN debit transactions to decrease transaction fees. Restaurant operators utilizing the Vx670 with VeriFone's managed services portal have been able to convert on average 39% of card transactions to PIN debit - which for high volume restaurants can add up to hundreds of dollars in card Interchange fee savings per location.
52% of respondents said being able to use the PIN for their purchases would be important to them.
VeriFone's PCI PED-approved Vx 670 is the smallest all-in-one wireless handheld payment device, built with the consumer in mind. Available with either GPRS or Wi-Fi communication options, the Vx 670 operates by utilizing a specially designed restaurant and hospitality application that provides a highly configurable and flexible framework for payment at the point of service.

Managed Services Portal
Our managed services portal provides restaurants with many of the advantages of integrated systems without having to pay to upgrade their current restaurant management POS system. Transaction information is stored on a remote IP gateway and any Vx 670 or other unit in a particular restaurant can initiate or complete a transaction. IPCharge is a PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) compliant portal which extends security compliance to each unit
since no transaction data is stored on the terminal or at your location.
Note: If your restaurant has been informed that you need to upgrade your POS system for PCI card data security compliance and that a software version upgrade will also mean you need a new operating system, more memory, new hardware or different drivers - there is an alternative. You should strongly consider keeping your existing POS system and simply moving your card acceptance to the ON THE SPOT solution.
Smaller locations with two to four Vx670 systems may also choose to operate in stand-alone mode, with each system using GPRS communications, or Wi-Fi, to settle their batches independently. However, by using our IPCharge gateway you can consolidate all units to create one batch closing and receive sophisticated reporting and transaction history reviewed from any PC with Internet access. If you are currently using multiple stand-alone payment devices, you can now easily network these devices using IPCharge.
