The Vx670 wireless unit delivers ON THE SPOT payment where your customers want it.
The unique thing about this terminal is the consumer facing application (start the sale and then hand the unit over to the customer to complete the transaction).
Two main applications are GPRS wireless for golf course beverage carts and WiFi for Pay at the Table inside restaurants. Vantage has successfully deployed this solution in both environments.

Managed Services Portal
Our managed services portal provides restaurants with many of the advantages of integrated systems without having to pay to upgrade their current restaurant management POS system. Transaction information is stored on a remote IP gateway and any Vx 670 or other unit in a particular restaurant can initiate or complete a transaction. IPCharge is a PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) compliant portal which extends security compliance to each unit
since no transaction data is stored on the terminal or at your location.
Note: If your restaurant has been informed that you need to upgrade your POS system for PCI card data security compliance and that a software version upgrade will also mean you need a new operating system, more memory, new hardware or different drivers - there is an alternative. You should strongly consider keeping your existing POS system and simply moving your card acceptance to the ON THE SPOT solution.
Smaller locations with two to four Vx670 systems may also choose to operate in stand-alone mode, with each system using GPRS communications, or Wi-Fi, to settle their batches independently. However, by using our IPCharge gateway you can consolidate all units to create one batch closing and receive sophisticated reporting and transaction history reviewed from any PC with Internet access. If you are currently using multiple stand-alone payment devices, you can now easily network these devices using IPCharge.
